 Jake Harrison

Jake attended a private Christian school for all of his elementary and high school.  He has 10+ years of Spanish experience starting in middle school at age 13 and completing Spanish IV in high school.  After high school, Jake lived and studied abroad in the Dominican Republic, just outside of Santo Domingo, for a year.

Currently, Jake is a student at GTCC with plans to transfer to UNC-Greensboro to study communications and Spanish.

-Jake's Testimony: I was raised by Christians and spent my childhood in church and Christian school, but didn't begin pursuing a relationship with Jesus until around high school. My faith really grew during my time spent abroad as a missionary student;  I found a heart for the nations and international missions as well as grew exponentially in personal faith and theology AND a greater love for Spanish, and am now excited to be using this season in the states to engage in discipleship with those around me and to prepare to be sent out on mission one day.

Jake has also played guitar since age 11, and currently enjoys serving on the worship team at Mercy Hill Church.  He is also currently a barista in Asheboro, NC, and huge coffee enthusiast.

Jake met his fiancé, Ciera, on a mission in the Dominican Republic, and they are looking forward to getting married this summer!
