Rose Bate

 

 

 

Rose Bate has taught math at various homeschool groups plus tutored math privately since 2004. She started homeschooling her children in 1989 and continues to do so. She and her husband John have raised seven children and presently have four grandchildren. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Oregon State University. She has been involved in FIRST Robotics since 2011 and coordinated the annual Piedmont Science Fair for Non-Public Schools held the last Saturday of January at High Point University. She has traveled on medical missions trips to serve indigenous tribal people living in the Amazon jungle of Peru and in the remote mountain villages of Costa Rica.
